On 11 October 2026, the Autumn edition of the Bath & Bristol Railway Races will set off from Green Park in Bath, offering runners a choice of 10 km, Half Marathon, 25 km, Marathon, and 50 km events. The courses follow the old railway path between Bath and Bristol, with longer distances passing through the iconic Staple Hill Tunnel (~450 m, lit) and alongside the Avon Valley Railway. All distances are on tarmac, with the 25 km finishing point-to-point in Bristol, while the others are out-and-back loops. Aid stations are plentiful (up to 9 for the 50 km), providing water, electrolyte, and snacks, including vegan and gluten-free options. Cutoffs apply for the longer races (e.g. marathon and 50 km return legs), making it a well-supported challenge for both first-timers and seasoned distance runners.
