Panguipulli, Chile

Be the first Runna to sign up!

Over 8–9 November 2025, the Columbia Trail Challenge will stage its 8ᵃ edición across the lush terrain of the Huilo Huilo Reserve in Chile’s Los Ríos region. Organised by Nimbus Outdoor, the race offers distances including 60 km, 45 km, 30 km, 20 km “Volcán”, 20 km “Bosque”, 15 km, 10 km (Río Fuy & Bosque versions), 6 km, and 2 km (kids). On Day 1, the longer distances start from the Museo de los Volcanes sector, featuring challenges like volcano slopes and high elevation gain; Day 2 shifts to forested “Bosque” routes in the northern side of the reserve. Elevation gain is substantial in the longer distances (e.g. 60 km ≈2,400 m climb, 45 km ≈1,645 m) with technical trails, river crossings, and variable conditions. All distances operate under strict cutoffs and mandatory gear rules (for longer courses), and there is a kids’ non-timed 2 km. The event is known for its combination of challenge, biodiversity, and immersive Patagonian scenery, drawing both local and international trail runners.
