For its final edition in 2025, the Course des Kangourous will once again light up the streets of Maintenon and Pierres with an evening of charity-focused running. Distances include children’s races of 1 km and 2 km, a 5 km, a 10 km (both solo and duo/relay formats) and Nordic walking, making it an accessible event for kids, beginners and seasoned runners alike. The route is run on local roads around the two towns, usually after dark, giving the race a cosy village-festival atmosphere. Organised by ESMP Athlétisme as part of the French Téléthon, the event is non-profit and designed to raise funds while promoting sport, solidarity and fun. With music, friendly volunteers and a relaxed spirit, it’s less about times and more about community and cause.
