On July 4–5, 2026, the 46th edition of the ASICS Gold Coast Marathon returns to the sunny shores of the Gold Coast, drawing elite athletes and recreational runners to its flat, fast, and spectator-friendly course. As a World Athletics Label road race, the event includes a range of distances—marathon, half marathon, 10 km, 5 km, wheelchair divisions, a 2 km Junior Dash, and the combined Gold Coast Double (63.3 km) across both days—offering something for every level. With a course running along palm-lined beaches and through Broadwater Parklands, conditions (cool winter mornings, low humidity, minimal wind) set the stage for personal bests—with approximately 60% of finishers achieving them annually. The weekend is capped by a vibrant race village at Southport’s Broadwater Precinct, full of expo booths, support teams, and celebratory amenities.
