
From 11–12 April 2026, the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon weekend brings runners and walkers of all levels into the centre of Knoxville for a spring race festival. Saturday evening features the Covenant Kids Run followed by the Covenant Health 5K, while Sunday morning hosts the flagship marathon, half marathon and 4-person relay, all sharing the same dramatic start on the Clinch Avenue Bridge and a finish chute in World’s Fair Park beneath the Sunsphere. The routes are fully paved and known for rolling hills rather than flat speed, showcasing downtown streets, river views, campus sections and leafy neighbourhoods for a varied, scenic challenge. New for 2026, entrants can also choose the Knox Hills Challenge (5K plus marathon) or Marble City Challenge (5K plus half marathon), earning extra swag and an additional medal for going back-to-back across both days.
