As part of the 13th annual Lighthouse 5K / 1 Mile Race Series presented by Brindley Beach Vacations and The OBX Running Company, the August 27, 2025 race takes participants on a scenic tour past architectural gems such as The Whalehead Club, Corolla Light, and the Currituck Beach Lighthouse. Registration includes an event T‑shirt, unique finisher medallion, chip timing, and a post-race continental breakfast, with walk‑up and pre‑race packet pickup available between 6:50 and 7:50 AM at the starting line located at 1100 Club Road in Historic Corolla Park. The event is walker- and stroller-friendly, service dogs welcome (other pets not allowed), and includes awards for overall male/female, masters, and youth divisions—all while contributing to local charities. Designed to enhance both tourism and fitness, the event delivers a warm summer experience blending community spirit with the natural beauty of the Outer Banks.
