On 8 August 2026, the Madison Mini Marathon returns for its 18th edition, starting and finishing at the Memorial Union Terrace on the UW-Madison campus. Runners can choose between the certified half marathon (21.1 km), a 5 km, and a Kids Run in the morning. The scenic route traverses iconic Madison landmarks—State Street, Capitol Square, the Dane County Farmer’s Market, Camp Randall Stadium, the UW Arboretum and the lakeshore—offering a mix of urban culture and natural beauty. After finishing, participants are invited to the “14th Mile” post-race party on the Terrace overlooking Lake Mendota, with live music, food, and beverages (including a complimentary beer for 21+ runners). Entry includes a tech-shirt, finisher medal, chip timing, free digital race photos, and indoor warm-up facilities on race morning.
