Since its inception in 2009, the festival has guided runners through the region’s lush forest trails, alongside the Steavenson River and waterfalls, contributing significantly to community rebuilding after the 2009 bushfires. Over two days, the event features an epic mix of distances: Saturday sees energetic side races including a 1.5 km Kids Dash, 7 km and 14 km King & Queen of the Mountain hill races, and a 100 km ultra that kicks off under the stars. On Sunday, runners tackle the main course options: 4 km, 10 km, half marathon, full marathon, and a 50 km ultra, traversing rugged hills, scenic rivers, and forested valley tracks with breathtaking vistas.
