The RUN NL – North Lanarkshire Half Marathon is an exciting new community running event taking place on Sunday 24 August 2025 at Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Motherwell. Designed to appeal to all ages and fitness levels, the event features a chip-timed half marathon (21.1 km) for participants aged 16+, a 5K race for those aged 11 and over, and a trio of fun children’s events: a 1K run for Primary 5–7 pupils, a 400 m dash for Primary 1–4, and a Toddler Dash for pre-schoolers aged 3–5. All participants receive race-day goodies, including refreshments and a commemorative T-shirt in select races, with chip timing provided for the longer events. Alongside the races, the event hosts a Family Fun Zone with bouncy castles, live entertainment, food stalls, and sports taster sessions, creating a vibrant festival atmosphere for spectators and runners alike.
