Run The Forest is a highly anticipated annual winter trail running and walking festival held in the picturesque city of Rotorua, New Zealand, organized by Nduro Events. This event uniquely combines the region's stunning natural beauty with an exhilarating physical challenge. Participants can choose from three distinct race distances, each offering a different experience: the 7km Redwoods Trail, a relatively flatter course that meanders through the majestic Redwood trees, Sulphur Flats, and along Lake Rotorua; the 10km Geothermal Traverse, which begins at the steaming pools of the Whakarewarewa Living Māori Village and leads runners through Manūka-lined trails into the Redwoods; and the challenging 21km Pohutu Geyser Trail, starting at Te Puia and showcasing a diverse blend of geothermal landscapes and the best of Rotorua's extensive forest trails. All races culminate at the vibrant event hub in the Government Gardens, creating a celebratory atmosphere with entertainment, food, and drinks.
