The Tarawera Ultra-Trail by UTMB is New Zealand’s premier trail running event, offering a range of distances to suit every level of runner. Set in Rotorua, the race takes you through breathtaking native bush, around glistening lakes, and past geothermal landscapes — with incredible local support along the way. You can choose from several events: the T14 (14 km), a scenic introduction to trail running; the T21 (23 km), perfect for those wanting a slightly bigger challenge; the T50 (52 km), an ultra-distance experience with rolling forest trails; the T102 (102 km), a world-class 100 km event through the heart of Tarawera; and the ultimate endurance test, the Tarawera Miler (100 mile / 163 km).
