Celebrating its 22nd edition, The County Marathon offers runners a chance to experience the beauty of Prince Edward County on October 5, 2025. The full marathon starts in Wellington and the half marathon near Sandbanks Provincial Park, both concluding in Picton, traversing rolling hills, farmland, and lakeside views. New for 2025, the event includes a 5K Fun Run and the return of the popular 2–5 person marathon relay, catering to a wide range of participants. All courses are Athletics Canada certified, making them qualifiers for major events like the Boston Marathon. With well-stocked aid stations, enthusiastic community support, and the charm of local wineries and historic sites, it’s a race that combines performance with a memorable experience.
