Staged deep in the Moroccan Sahara, Ultra X Sahara 2026 is a five-day, 220 km multi-stage ultramarathon that tests endurance, resilience, and mental toughness in one of the world’s harshest environments. The daily stage distances vary—approximately 54 km, 29 km, 48 km, 60 km, and 29 km—with terrain ranging from soft sand and arid valleys to stony desert trails. Runners camp each night in Berber-style desert camps with hot water, catered meals, and full medical and physio support. The event is UTMB®-indexed (100K category) and features generous cutoff times (~2–3 hours per 10 km), allowing space for both elite competitors and determined adventurers. Logistics include transfers to/from Marrakech and optional cultural add-ons such as camel trekking or Atlas Mountain excursions, making it both a race and an unforgettable expedition.
