Binational Race 2025

San Diego, California

96 Runnas

Returning for its second edition on October 26, 2025, The Binational Race features a historic half-marathon that begins at Las Americas Premium Outlets in San Diego and runs 13.1 miles through the Tijuana River Valley to Playas de Tijuana, crossing the San Ysidro–El Chaparral border checkpoint mid-race. A separate 10K event starts exclusively in Tijuana and finishes at the same coastal endpoint. With a limit of 4,000 runners, the race has a 3 h 30 min cutoff (with a 1 h 40 min split at 10 km due to immigration processing) and includes official shuttle service back to the US border. Participants need valid immigration documents, chip timing, and enjoy a rousing finish-line festival of music, tacos, wellness tents, and community celebration. Organized as a symbol of cross-border unity, the event is rooted in a year-round wellness initiative spanning both cities.
