Celebrating its 55th year, the Brian Waterbury Memorial Rock to Pier Run is set for July 12, 2025, offering three race options: a 6-mile beach run from Morro Rock to Cayucos Pier, the 11th annual Rock’n Around the Pier Half Marathon, and a virtual 6-mile run for remote participants. Both in-person races commence at 7:00 AM and feature hard-packed sand routes along the Pacific coastline. The half marathon includes a return trip to Morro Rock with a 1-mile loop through Cloister’s Park, incorporating soft sand segments for added challenge. Participants can enjoy water and aid stations along the course, a complimentary post-race breakfast, and live music at Morro Rock. Transportation is provided from the Cayucos Pier back to the start, and awards are presented to top finishers in various age groups. Please note that dogs are not permitted on the course due to the Snowy Plover nesting season.
