Buckin' Hell is a premier trail running event that challenges participants with demanding courses through Vancouver's North Shore Mountains. Hosted by Salomon Coast Mountain Trail Running, the race offers three primary distances: a 35 km course with 1,700 meters (5,577 feet) of elevation gain, a 50 km ultra with 2,500 meters (8,250 feet) of elevation gain, and a 50 km two-person relay. The courses feature steep climbs, technical descents, and scenic views, traversing trails like Baden Powell and Old Buck. Runners navigate through remnants of old-growth forest and modern bike trails, experiencing some of the best trails and vistas that Vancouver's North Shore has to offer. After completing the challenging routes, participants can relax in the Beer Garden in partnership with Bridge Brewing and enjoy finish line pizza. The event also includes a free Kids Race for ages 3-10, making it a family-friendly occasion. Additionally, every registration contributes to local environmental efforts and community support initiatives.
