The Catholic Health Suffolk County Marathon is a premier annual event that unites runners of all levels in support of Suffolk County’s veteran community. Part of the Suffolk County Veterans Run Series, it features a full marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K, a 1K fun run, and a “Virtual MILE Mission” for those who prefer to participate remotely. The marathon and half marathon are USATF-certified and Boston Marathon qualifiers, with scenic routes including the Robert Moses Causeway. Since its inception, the event has raised over $1 million, with all proceeds benefiting local organizations that serve one of New York’s largest veteran populations. The weekend also includes a pre-race expo, live entertainment, and a post-race celebration open to all.
