On 6 June 2026, the Classic Quarter celebrates its 20th anniversary as a landmark ultra in the Endurancelife Coastal Trail Series, challenging runners to cover a full quarter of the compass: from England’s southernmost point (Lizard Point) to its westernmost tip (Land’s End). The 44-mile point-to-point route follows the South West Coast Path almost the entire way, stacking up roughly 5,500 ft (≈1,700 m) of ascent through endless short, steep climbs and descents. Underfoot, it’s a constantly changing mix of rocky trail, muddy singletrack, grassy clifftops and narrow coastal paths, with big exposure to Atlantic weather and jaw-dropping sea cliffs never far from view. The challenge can be taken on solo, or shared in a relay pair or relay quad, all using the same dramatic line of coastline. Fully marked, professionally supported and part of the Endurancelife 2025–26 season leaderboard, it’s a true “all-in” coastal ultra for experienced trail runners.
