During the weekend of 6–7 December 2025, the Course de l’Escalade transforms Geneva’s Old Town into a festive maze of running, cheering and celebration. Runners of all ages take part in distances ranging from kids’ races to the popular 4.7 km and 7.3 km adult formats, each threading through narrow medieval streets, small climbs, cobblestones and lively spectator zones. The atmosphere is famously joyful, crowned by the legendary costume race, where teams parade and run in creative outfits that turn the city centre into a moving carnival. With its blend of tradition, winter charm and community spirit, the event remains one of Europe’s most beloved December running festivals.
