The longest event in our Irish race series, this ultra trail challenge takes runners on an unforgettable journey from the charming coastal town of Bray to the heart of the Wicklow Mountains National Park and back. Starting on the scenic Bray promenade, runners quickly ascend the steep path to the iconic cross on Bray Head, trading sea views for mountain trails. The early part of the course winds across Little and Great Sugarloaf Mountains, passing the Kilruddery Estate, and merging into the historic Wicklow Way – a renowned 132 km trail stretching south from Dublin. The mid-section of the race showcases the full variety of Wicklow’s natural beauty: rugged trails, quiet country lanes, sharp ascents and descents, and sweeping views. Highlights include Powerscourt Waterfall, the striking Lough Tay (Guinness Lake), and a loop around the revitalized Roundwood Reservoir trails. The return to Bray leads runners through the Belmont Estate, offering one last stretch of countryside before arriving back at the coast. With a finish time typically ranging between 9 to 12 hours, runners complete the race just as dusk settles over Dublin Bay. Crossing the finish line along the Bray seafront, participants are rewarded not only with incredible views but also a warm Irish welcome befitting the journey they've just completed.
