Scheduled for November 2, 2025, the Golden Gate Half Marathon is one of San Francisco’s most visually stunning running events, taking participants across the world-famous Golden Gate Bridge not once, but twice. The half marathon begins at 6:50 AM, leading runners through Aquatic Park, the Presidio, and onto the eastern sidewalk of the bridge toward Vista Point, before returning via the western path. After descending back into the city, the course finishes at Marina Green with panoramic views of Alcatraz Island and the San Francisco skyline. The 5K begins at 7:15 AM and offers a non-bridge alternative with equally scenic waterfront views. The race weekend includes a pre-race expo at Sports Basement in the Presidio, chip timing, water and aid stations, official race shirts, custom finisher medals, and a lively post-race celebration at Ghirardelli Square. With a generous pace allowance (~18:30 min/mile), the race welcomes runners of all levels to “Run the Bridge” in one of the most memorable locations in the world.
