Established in 2019, the Helderberg to Hudson Half Marathon has become a premier running event in the Capital Region of New York. The 2025 race is set for Saturday, April 12, featuring a USATF-certified, point-to-point downhill course that begins at Stephen P. Wallace (New Scotland Town) Park in Slingerlands and concludes at Jennings Landing on the Hudson River in Albany. The first approximately two miles navigate the streets of Voorheesville, followed by nine miles on the gently descending paved Helderberg-Hudson Rail Trail, with the final two miles on the rail trail connector to the Hudson River bike path.
