Maidstone, United Kingdom

Be the first Runna to sign up!

On 10 October 2026, the Kent Downs 50 Ultra Challenge offers an end-of-season adventure from a fully serviced basecamp at the Kent Showground near Maidstone. The headline 50 km loop heads anticlockwise along the North Downs Way to Blue Bell Hill, drops to the River Medway and into Mote Park at halfway, then follows the Len Valley Walk past the grounds of Leeds Castle before returning via the North Downs to the showground finish. The 25 km route branches off at Aylesford, using sections of the Augustine Camino towards Boxley, while the 10 km Maidstone loop offers a shorter countryside taste, all starting and finishing at basecamp. Underfoot, participants can expect a blend of chalky downs, farm tracks, woodland paths, riverside towpaths and short road sections, with steady rolling climbs rather than mountainous terrain. With full route signage, regular rest stops, hot food, medical and massage support and optional camping, it’s designed as a supportive charity-friendly ultra experience suitable for both first-time challengers and seasoned trail enthusiasts.
