This rugged event traverses remote singletrack over the Kilkenny Ridge, summiting peaks like Mount Cabot and Mount Waumbek with big vertical and minimal road access. The 50 mile starts/finishes at South Pond with a turnaround at the Jefferson Inn; the 25 mile is a point-to-point from the Jefferson Inn back to South Pond; and the 25K begins at the Berlin Fish Hatchery—all finishing at South Pond. Courses are minimally marked (runners are required to carry maps/GPS) and feature significant climbing (roughly 7,500 ft per direction on the ridge). Official start times are 5:00 AM (50M), 7:00 AM (25M), and 8:00 AM (25K).
