
Returning to the beautiful trails of Pocahontas State Park, the 2025 Pocahontas Trail Festival invites runners to experience well-marked courses with natural features and a supportive community atmosphere. The Half Marathon and 10K both begin at 9:00 AM and take runners through looped courses of forest paths, fire roads, and creeks, with aid stations approximately every 3 miles. The updated Half Marathon course features more time on the Coop and Trooper Trails, which offer shaded segments, mild elevation changes, and scenic backwoods charm. Runners benefit from chip timing, live results, and post-race refreshments, with awards for top finishers and age group categories. The event also offers indoor restroom access and a family-friendly environment, making it ideal for both competitive and recreational trail runners.
