Returning for its 9th year on November 9, 2025, Run Bolton Abbey, in support of Sue Ryder’s Manorlands Hospice, invites trail runners of all levels to explore the beauty of the Bolton Abbey Estate. Participants can choose from the Half Marathon, 10-Mile, 10K, or the family-friendly Fun Run, with all routes starting and finishing at Cavendish Pavilion. The courses include challenging climbs, undulating woodland terrain, and iconic features like the Zwergentunnel and Höllenschlucht ravines—providing a true North Yorkshire autumn experience. Each runner is chip-timed, and uniquely, a tree is planted on the estate for every finisher instead of receiving a medal. In honor of Remembrance Day, the event includes a one-minute silence at 11 AM on course, and all proceeds benefit local hospice care.
