Returning on October 25, 2025, The Great Trek—part of the RUNVAN® Race Series—is a beloved finale to Vancouver’s road-racing season. It follows a scenic and certified course through Musqueam territory and the leafy campus of the University of British Columbia, with all three distances sharing a start at ~8:30 AM (Half Marathon), followed by 10 km at ~10:30 AM and 5 km at ~12:00 PM. Participants may also complete all three races in one day to earn the Hat‑Trick Combo Medal. Each race includes chip timing, themed race gear (option of shirt, gloves or “Green Bib”), a race medal, and post-race refreshments including food and drinks. Organized in collaboration with RUNVAN®, Musqueam Nation, and UBC, the event supports charitable causes such as the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, with proceeds encouraged under RUNVAN’s “Run & Give” program. It offers a festive, inclusive atmosphere with capped entries, volunteer support, and a scenic autumn setting near the Pacific.
