In early autumn 2027, The Lap returns to the breathtaking trails that circle Lake Windermere for its September edition. Spanning roughly 47 miles (75 km), the course invites both runners and walkers to take on a complete circuit of England’s largest lake within a generous 24-hour limit. Participants experience a blend of forest paths, lakeside tracks, and rolling fells, offering a balance of runnable terrain and scenic challenge. With multiple stocked aid stations, live tracking, and a welcoming community atmosphere, The Lap is as much about adventure and endurance as it is about soaking in the Lake District’s stunning beauty.
