For nearly five decades, the Sport Chek Mother’s Day Run, Walk & Wheel has stood as one of Calgary’s most beloved family-friendly fundraising events, supporting both Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities and the Calgary Health Foundation. Participants can choose from the adidas 10 km run (minimum age 10), the 5 km run/walk (open to all ages, with strollers welcome), or the 1 km Kids’ Race designed for children 12 and under. The event kicks off at CF Chinook Centre and features a safe, closed-road course, complete with aid stations, post-race refreshments, and a festive atmosphere. Registrants receive a swag bag, finisher medal, and personalized bibs (if registered before April 27). With group discounts and free entry for kids 5 and under, it’s a perfect way to celebrate Mother’s Day while giving back to the community.
