From Friday to Sunday, October 3–5, 2025, the sixth edition of the Ultra Trail des Montagnes du Jura (UTMJ) returns to challenge and inspire trail runners across a rugged alpine setting on the French–Swiss border. Featuring seven race formats—from 10 km to 175 km solo or relay—the UTMJ traverses over 7,000 meters of elevation across the Jura’s iconic summits, forests, and limestone plateaus. The crown jewel is the 175 km ultra, which begins in Lancrans and finishes in Métabief, with a strict 500-runner cap and a 45-hour time limit. Other events include La Franco-Suisse (105 km), La Renarde (75 km), La CMM (40 km), La Lynx (20 km), and La Chamois (10 km), each with varied terrain and degrees of technicality. With support from the Jura tourism network, the event offers shuttle service, aid stations, mandatory kit checks, GPS tracking, and a vibrant, eco-conscious trail community.
