On April 5, 2025, the Vale Coastal Trail Races celebrate their 10th anniversary, offering runners a chance to experience the stunning Welsh coastline. The Ultra race covers 32.5 miles, starting at Penarth Pier and traversing cliffs, beaches, and rural landscapes to reach Ogmore-by-Sea. The 18.5-mile "mini ultra" begins at Porthkerry Park, joining the Ultra route along the Glamorgan Heritage Coast. The 10-mile race starts at Llantwit Beach, completing the final section of both the Ultra and mini ultra courses. All races are self-navigated, following the well-marked Wales Coast Path, with support from manned checkpoints providing refreshments along the way.
