Celebrating its 42nd edition, the Waterside Half Marathon 2025 is set for Sunday, 7 September, with a 9:30 AM start at Ebrington Square, Derry~Londonderry. Organized by Derry City & Strabane District Council in partnership with the City of Derry Spartans, the event features a 13.1-mile course that crosses the River Foyle, highlighting the city's picturesque parks, greenways, and bridges. Runners can participate individually, as part of a wheelchair race, or in a 3-person relay team. The race is open to athletes of all levels and abilities, with age requirements of 17+ for individual entrants and 15+ for relay participants. Entry fees are £27 for individual runners and £70 for relay teams, with a registration deadline of 10 August 2025 or until capacity is reached. Participants will receive chip timing, a finisher's medal, and a commemorative t-shirt.
