Returning for August 9–10, the Wy’east Trailfest 2025 brings trail runners into the wild alpine landscapes of Mt. Hood, Oregon, via Mt. Hood Meadows. Saturday’s challenging events include the iconic mountain-length 50‑mile ultra, 50 km ultra, 28 km loop, and the steep 14 km hill climb, each ascending to around 8,000 ft and showcasing volcanic ridgelines, subalpine meadows, and deep forests. Sunday offers more approachable distances—Half Marathon and 8 km—plus a 0.75-mile Kids Race, promoting family participation. Fully supported with aid stations, chip timing, shuttle services, and podium prize purses on mountain distances, the Trailfest balances elite competition with grassroots mountain spirit. Participants enjoy post-race festivities, including music, food and beverage offerings, and community camaraderie at the iconic Sun Deck.
