Set against the backdrop of Cape Town’s oldest wine farms, the Grape Run 2025 leads runners over 21.1 km or 14 km through the Constantia Valley on a mix of paved roads and firm farm paths. Starting and finishing at Constantia Village, the route winds through iconic estates like Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia, Buitenverwachting and Constantia Uitsig, passing dams, vineyards and rolling hills. Elevation gain sits around 445 m for the half marathon and 290 m for the 14 km, making it more demanding than a standard road race but not a full technical trail. Early-morning views, quiet farm roads and an environmentally conscious, largely plastic-free setup create a race that’s as much about scenery and atmosphere as speed.

Races

On Sunday, 16 November 2025 at 05:45, the Totalsports Constantia Valley Grape Run 21.1 km sets off from Constantia Village Shopping Centre, Constantia, Western Cape, organised by the Totalsports VOB Running Club. Blending tar roads with firm farm tracks and around 445 m of ascent through Groot Constantia, Klein Constantia and other historic wine estates, this plastic-free half marathon is famed as one of the most beautiful and rewarding road-trail hybrids in the Cape.

Offering roughly 290 m of climbing on a shorter loop through the Constantia wine farms, it delivers vineyard views, dam-side running and a solid workout for runners who want the Grape Run experience without the full half-marathon distance.
