On September 28, 2025, the Harvest Run returns for its 27th year, hosted by the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce. Runners and walkers can take part in the 1-mile Kids Miler at 8:30 AM, followed by the 5K and 10K at 9:15 AM, all set against the welcoming atmosphere of Village Green Park. The event attracts hundreds each year and has raised more than $400,000 for local nonprofits, celebrated annually at the Give-Back Luncheon in November. With a flat, fast, and scenic course, plus vendors, sponsors, and family entertainment, the Harvest Run is a fall racing tradition for the community.
