The Russet Runners Marden 10K is a licensed, fully marshalled road race that has been a staple in the local running calendar. The 2025 event is set for Sunday, June 1, with the race commencing at 9:30 AM from Southons Field, Maidstone Rd, Marden, TN12 9AE. The course offers a largely flat terrain with minimal elevation changes, providing an enjoyable experience for both novice and seasoned runners. Participants will navigate through picturesque country lanes surrounding Marden, with roads through the village temporarily closed for the initial 2 km to ensure safety. Water stations are strategically placed at the halfway mark and at the finish line, with potential additional stations in the event of high temperatures. All finishers receive a medal, and those who register by Sunday, May 11, 2025, are guaranteed a complimentary finisher's T-shirt, subject to availability. Prizes are awarded to the top male and female finishers, as well as the first junior (under 18) runner. Entries are non-refundable, and participants are advised that headphones are not permitted during the race, in compliance with England Athletics rules.
