Marking its 25th year, the Baltimore Running Festival returns on October 18, 2025, inviting runners to experience the charm and challenge of Baltimore’s streets. The event features multiple race distances: Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and the BaltiMORON-a-thon, which combines the 5K and Half Marathon for an added challenge. The marathon course is renowned for its scenic diversity, guiding runners through the Inner Harbor, historic Federal Hill, and the vibrant neighborhoods of Fells Point. Notably, the route includes a memorable stretch through the Maryland Zoo, where runners are greeted by tuxedoed penguins. The final miles offer a downhill finish, leading to a celebratory atmosphere at McKeldin Square, complete with live music and enthusiastic spectators. All participants receive a commemorative Under Armour shirt and a unique “Crack the Crab” finisher medal, symbolizing the city’s rich maritime heritage. With both in-person and virtual options available, the festival ensures a welcoming experience for runners of all levels and locations.
