A Sacramento Thanksgiving tradition, the Run to Feed the Hungry is produced by Sacramento Food Bank & Family Services and is the region’s largest Thanksgiving Day fun run—raising funds and awareness to fight local hunger.The 2025 edition features an out-and-loop course through tree-lined East Sacramento neighborhoods, with timed and untimed entry options, corral starts for competitive runners, aid stations, and plentiful free parking near the Sac State campus. Participants can register in-person or virtually, form fundraising teams, and help support the food bank’s programs that provide meals to thousands in the county each month.
