On 1 August 2026, the first-ever Southside BeltLine 8K-3K joins Atlanta Track Club’s “Race the Loop” series, inviting participants to explore the newest completed stretch of the BeltLine. The 8K serves as the main competitive race, with overall and age-group awards, a 1 hour 30 minute time limit and an 18-minute-per-mile pace requirement, run entirely on smooth, paved Southside Trail surfaces. Alongside it, the 3K offers a more relaxed, non-competitive option where results are recorded but the emphasis is on participation and fun, and where dogs and strollers are welcomed in their own wave. Both distances highlight the mix of urban landscape and emerging green corridor that defines the Southside BeltLine and contribute to the larger “Race the Loop” challenge for runners completing all four BeltLine events in 2026. Adidas race shirts, friendly race-day organisation and a community-focused atmosphere round out this summer outing on Atlanta’s growing trail network.
