South Coast Ultra Challenge

Eastbourne, United Kingdom

Be the first Runna to sign up!

Across the weekend of 5–6 September 2026, the South Coast Ultra Challenge sends adventurers from the seaside town of Eastbourne up over Beachy Head, along the iconic Seven Sisters cliffs, through Cuckmere Haven and onto the rolling ridges of the South Downs Way, before finishing near Arundel. The headline option is a 100 km route, offered either as a non-stop challenge or as a 2-day daylight format (split roughly into a 57 km first day and 43 km second day), with shorter choices of a 57 km 1st Half, 43 km 2nd Half and a 25 km Quarter starting from key rest stops. Underfoot, the terrain is predominantly trail and bridleway with chalky paths, grassy ridges, woodland tracks and some short road sections, racking up more than 2,000 m of elevation on the full distance. Fully signed routes, regular rest stops with food and drink, medical and massage support, and a big finish-line celebration make it a supported endurance challenge rather than a traditional race, open equally to walkers, joggers and runners.
