The Geordieman 2025 returns on August 31, 2025, at the scenic Druridge Bay Country Park, combining open-water, cycling, and trail running through stunning Northumberland coastline and woodlands. The flagship Full-distance triathlon features a 2.4-mile swim in Ladyburn Lake, a 112-mile cycle along the dramatic coastal roads, and a 26.2-mile run around flat tarmac, paths, and beach vistas. For those opting for a Half-distance triathlon, the distances are halved: 1.2-mile swim, 56-mile cycle, and a 13.1-mile run. Additional disciplines include Aquabike (swim + bike), Duathlon (run‑bike‑run), Aquathlon (swim + run), Open Water swims, and relay categories. There are no cut-off times, well-stocked feed stations, a secure transition area, live chip timing, post-race hot meals, event hoodies or t-shirts, and free event photography. Camping is available onsite for participants. Organized by Wild Deer Events, the Geordieman is known as the UK’s most affordable Ironman-distance race, drawing a supportive community atmosphere amidst rugged natural beauty.
